Sumit Jasoria, Managing Director, shop.com.mm

Sumit Jasoria is the Managing Director of Rocket Internet’s two biggest e-commerce ventures in Myanmar - Shop.com.mm and Kaymu.com.mm. The combined entity company is by far the biggest investment of Rocket Internet in Myanmar. Sumit manages a team of 80+ employees leading the business to growth with key partnerships and business development. 
Sumit has also successfully executed the merger of Shop.com.mm and Kaymu.com.mm and created the biggest online shopping platform in Myanmar. 

Before this, Sumit was the Marketing Head for the company Daraz.com in the emerging markets of Bangladesh and Myanmar. There he used to handle complete marketing with a mix of online and offline marketing, taking business to new growth level with PR and Brand Partnerships. 


In the past, Sumit worked as Product Marketing Manager for DTH Services at Bharti Airtel from their Corporate Head Office in Gurgaon. He initiated New Product Developments that were first in the Industry and helped in revolutionizing the way Television entertains people in India. 

While working for Airtel, one of his key projects "Twitter on TV" was nominated in the Top-10 Global innovations at IBC, Amsterdam (International Broadcasting Convention) 2014. 

Sumit studied Marketing Majors at FMS Delhi and held the position of Joint Secretary of the student's council of FMS, MBA-MS course from 2009-10. 

Pre-MBA, he worked as a software engineer at Infosys Technologies Limited at Hyderabad.
