Diego Abba, CEO, Italist

Diego Abba is the Chief Executive Officer of Italist Inc., a global marketplace for Italian luxury multi-brands boutiques and brands,
based in Los Angeles.
Diego was the former CEO of Sleepy Giant, a fast growing game publisher and technology provider, participated by TPG Capital and CAA. He also led, as VP Finance - Americas, the development of the regional finance role for Activision/Blizzard, in the newly created position.
In Europe, Diego served as Group CFO of Zero9, a mobile content company, majority owned by InvestIndustrial, heading also
the new areas of business of the company as well as mobile advertising.
Prior to these roles, Diego had advised extensively clients in media, technology and private equity for 9 years both in the US and in Europe, at Bain & Company.
Diego also lived and worked in Asia, where he started up Procter & Gamble Vietnam, as the head of the finance organization, after having had a key role on the design and implementation of the global in-house bank, as Forex Manager Europe for P&G European
Treasury, in Belgium.
Diego has previously served on the Board of Directors of MILES S.p.A., an Italian luxury company, leading the turn-around and the growth strategy. He is currently on the Board of Directors of New Design Charter Schools, a nonprofit that is focusing on providing
quality education for East Los Angeles and Watts.
Diego holds an MBA from Cornell University and an MA in Business from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, Italy with a full academic scholarship year at UCLA; he is fluent in French and Italian, with a working knowledge of Spanish.
Diego has a passion for contemporary art, traveling and fine dining both at home and around the world.
