Johnstone Angwenyi is a Financial Analyst with the Central Bank of Kenya.
Johnstone Angwenyi’s main responsibilities include; participating in the review of prudential guidelines and legislation related to banking, process corporate approval requests by banks after reviewing their compliance to legislative and statutory requirements, monitor and analyse significant changes in the risk profiles of the institutions on a continuous basis and to conduct constant accurate and current analysis of assigned institutions’ financial and managerial strength.
Johnstone Angwenyi was born and raised in Nairobi. He obtained his Bachelor of Finance from the University of Adelaide in 2001 and his Master of Accounting from Griffith University in 2004. He has worked in petroleum for Mobil and in dairy for Parmalat before taking up a position at his current employer. Johnstone is both diligent and committed to his work, taking a lot of pride from a job well done.
Outside work, Johnstone is a physically active person taking part in challenging hikes on a monthly basis and has climbed both Mount Kenya and Mount Kilimanjaro. Johnstone being Kenyan, participates in at least two marathons per year.
Like a significant number of people in Africa, Johnstone Angwenyi is a fan of English football, supporting Liverpool FC. It is his luck, good or otherwise to have started following them in the twilight of their glory days, just before the launch of the Premier League. A case of the early bird missing the worm, as many a United fan would attest.
