Craig Ludwig is the Chief Operating Officer of a premium design led manufacturing, wholesale and retail business, Carrol Boyes, since April 2014. The brand has 25 corporate stores in South Africa, exports to 31 countries globally and has listings in some of the worlds premium retailers.
Prior to this Craig was the Managing Director at Whatever It Takes, an independent consulting firm based in South Africa from May 2010. In this role, he was responsible for providing advisory services related to strategy, procurement and supply chain management to retailers, wholesalers, and the hospitality sector.
Prior to this, Craig served as a Divisional Director at Woolworths, South Africa from March 2008 to June 2010. Here he was responsible for delivering appropriate product ranges to the market, develop and implement merchandise, supplier, and product strategy, standardizing quality benchmarks, and driving sales and profitability targets within the General Merchandise Division.
Previously Craig has worked at several managerial positions with Clicks, a pharmacy, health, home and beauty retailer for 16 years, from September 1991 to February 2008. In this role, he was responsible for merchandise management, supplier negotiations; oversee service level agreements and commercial terms, and developing and implementing operational strategies.
Craig has over 25 years of experience across various formats of retailing in South Africa.
