Mark was appointed Managing Director of Leighton Properties Pty Limited in July 2007. He joined Leighton in 1987 and was appointed State Manager in NSW and Executive Director in November 1988. Prior to joining Leighton Properties, Mark held senior positions in architectural practices in Sydney, Southport Queensland and Princeton USA. The range of property experience includes high rise commercial, business parks, industrial, mixed-use entertainment, retail, residential, resorts and retirement housing. Property development is a multi-faceted skill and Mark has extensive experience in planning approvals, finance, structuring, leasing, sales and marketing, contract negotiation and administration and joint-ventures. Additionally, major projects have provided experience in community relations and consultations together with media experience. Mark held the position of NSW President of the Property Council of Australia from 2004 – 2006 and is an Ex-Director of the PCA’s National Board. Mark is a regular speaker and moderator at industry functions.
