Tabassum Khan, Managing Director, A.J. Pharma Holding

Dr. Tabassum Khan is a Medical Doctor who obtained an MBA in Finance and a PhD in Healthcare Management. 

He is the founder and President of Stratgurus Group of Companies, headquartered at Dubai with offices in Malaysia and Europe, which conceives and manages projects in different sectors including pharmaceuticals, neutraceuticals, biologics and vaccines. He sits on the boards of large organisation including AJ Pharma Holding, Malaysia where he officiates as the Managing Director for all healthcare investments. He is also the Chairman of the board of AJ Biologics, the vaccine arm of the AJ Group. As a Chairman he was a lead in the acquisition of Stratum Serum Institute (SSI) the vaccine company owned by the Danish government. The new company will be a significant producer of polio vaccine and is developing a new form of the vaccine for polio in collaboration with Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This may also permit to develop an animal source free polio vaccine, which will be a significant contribution to the Islamic world keeping in mind the re-emergence of polio only in the Muslim dominated countries. 

Dr. Khan is a regular speaker and panelist in global economy summits including GIES 2015 conference organized by Thomson Reuters in collaboration with the Dubai Islamic Economy Development Center (DIEDC) and WIEF 2014. He also chaired the session on Globalization of Islamic Economy during the World halal conference in Malaysia in 2016. In June 2016 he was a keynote speaker during the CPHI Istanbul on ‘Exploring the opportunity for Halal in Healthcare: Pros and Cons’. Dr. Khan is also an ardent contributor to social initiatives, which he does as a part of his pro bono publico programs. This includes poverty alleviation trough application of Islamic social justice system and his recent article in the official G7 journal titled ‘The real world has real problems’ attracted a lot of appreciation.
