When Edmund’s younger son Branden was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), he was told to prepare for the worst. There was no cure for SMA which is the No.1 genetic killer of young children.
There was no giving up, and Edmund desires to give his family every chance to live an active, engaged and hopeful life. Although Branden’s future is uncertain, his sunny personality inspires Edmund to dedicate more time to help improve the well-being of families with SMA and disabilities. Together with his wife Sook Yee, Edmund founded and run WeCareJourney to champion care and support for them.
Prior to WeCareJourney, Edmund held various senior leadership positions in leading multinational companies. He holds degrees in both Law and Finance & Accounting, and is a CPA, CFP and a licenced independent financial advisor.
