Mr. Bien-Kiat Tan is the Founder and Managing Director of Titan Capital and Ellwood. Mr. Tan also served as Managing Director of TPG Newbridge Capital, the Asian arm of TPG Capital and was responsible to start and run their operations in South and South-East Asia and Australia from 1997 to 2003. Mr. Tan has 14 years of experience in private equity and fund management. Prior to that, from 1994 to 1997, he served as the Chief Executive of a major South East Asia conglomerate which controlled five public-listed companies. His career included senior management roles with Booz Allen and A.T. Kearney, both leading American strategy consulting firms, where he was instrumental in pioneering their Asian franchisees. He served as Chairman of Pacnet Internet (S) Pte. Ltd until February 2006. He serves as the President of Social Venture Partners, a philanthropic organization, International Trustee of International House of New York and on the financial & investment committee of the Board of Trustees of Singapore University of Technology & Design, a joint venture with MIT. Mr. Tan has a strong financial background, including strategy consulting and private equity. He serves as a Director of Tan Chwee Boon (Private) Limited, Titan Capital Private Limited, Samson Industries Private Limited, Archer International Investment Private Limited, Bader Overseas Singapore Private Limited, Oil Trade & Marketing (OTM) Private Limited, Syntellix Asia Private Limited and Ban Teck Seng Private Limited. He served as a Director of Huiyin Household Appliances Holding Co Ltd., Darrington Holdings Private Limited, International Brand Partners Private Limited, Body Wellness Holdings Private Limited, Tan Kay Guan (Private) Limited and Oracle Creative Media Private Limited. He served as Non Executive Director of Tricor Plc from March 21, 2016 to April 03, 2017. Mr. Tan served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Huiyin Smart Community Co., Ltd. since July 22, 2011 until July 17, 2013. Mr. Tan was educated in the United States at Columbia University where he received his MS and MBA and the United Kingdom at the University of Birmingham.
