Nizar “Nick” Madanat, the Senior Director of Rail Vehicle Engineering with Los Angeles Metro, has been working in the rail industry for 27 years and has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and a Master of Business Administration in Technology Management.  He began his career in rail as a Project Manager in General Electric’s Transportation Division where he managed Boston’s first AC propulsion subway project.  He then moved to Los Angeles to manage the commissioning of the Red Line subway fleet for Los Angeles Metro and has since held several management positions in the rail maintenance department.
