REX RANOCO LOR takes charge of Innovation Development & Monitoring at the Hub of Innovation for Inclusion (HIFI) at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB). He plans, designs, manages and monitors social startup incubation, social innovation development programs & special projects of HIFI. He engages and initiates partners for cross-sector collaboration and capacity development. Rex has more than 15 years of management experience in the academe, focusing on educational leadership, program and curriculum development, strategic planning and marketing for schools. He is on the constant lookout for new ways to teach creativity and critical thinking and has recently been involved in the research and operationalization of Design Thinking as a teaching-learning approach and as a tool for curricular and course design. He is pursuing his PhD in Education at the De La Salle Araneta University and his research interests include: 1) on how Design Thinking is used as a multidisciplinary collaboration among different college departments at Benilde; 2) an ICT-integrated design thinking module; and, 3) On how human-centered design can be used as a framework in strategic planning.
