Melanie Morrissette, Deputy Course Chair, Ngee Ann Polytechnic

Mélanie is passionate about film and learning with technology.  She is among a select number of lecturers from the School who have won the School Teaching Award twice and NP Academic Award (Development).  A total of three awards. She conceptualised and led a team to develop and create a unique e-courseware to facilitate the teaching and learning of lighting for productions entitled “Lighting for Different Genres”. She has conducted talks and training sessions on developing stimulating and interactive learning environments for lecturers and teachers. She has presented papers at the Singapore International Conference on Teaching and Learning with Technology (ICTLT), the Technology Enhanced Learning Conference (TEL2013), the Asian Digital Storytelling Congress and the Singapore International Storytelling Festival.  Mélanie is also recognised as an Apple Distinguished Educator. Mélanie is always looking for ways to develop her students’ creativity and analytical skills. Mélanie is committed to creating an environment that sparks and nurtures a thriving learning experience for both student and teacher, inside and outside the classroom.
