Dr. Maithreyi a/p Subramaniam is working as a Lecturer in Department of Multimedia Design and Animation in University of Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia. She received her M.Ed degree in Art Education (2010) and her Ph.D. in Art Education (2017) both from University of Malaya, Malaysia. She teaches undergraduate courses in Graphic Design and Multimedia. Her research interest includes teaching, learning, evaluation and psychology in Art Education, a specialist using the approaches of aesthetics, art appreciation and art criticism in her classroom teaching/learning. Her Ph.D. thesis entitled "THE DEVELOPMENT OF A TERTIARY LEVEL VISUAL COMMUNICATION MODULE INCORPORATING AN ART APPRECIATION APPROACH". Her research related to Project Zero, Project CEMREL and DBAE (Discipline Based Art Education), USA. He co-researchers are Associate Professor, Dr. Abu Talib Putih and Senior Lecturer, Dr. Jaffri Hanafi from University of Malaya-experts in the field of art education more than 55 years.
