George Sunguh, Secretary General, African Maritime Journalists Association

Mr George Sunguh is the Secretary General of African Maritime Journalists Association (AMJA).
He is an experienced Editor with a demonstrated history of working in the information services industry. Strong media and communication professional skilled in Non-profit Organizations,  Corporate Social Responsibility, Crisis Communications, Strategic Planning, and Event Management.
Also skilled in handling publications specializing in transport industry. Mr Sunguh is the immediate former Head of Communications at Port Management Association for Eastern and Southern Africa (PMAESA), an Inter-governmental Organization operating under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). He has worked for the Nation Media Group, a leading media house in East Africa and several media institutions including the Lloyds List Journal, Reuters and the BBC World Service. He is married with four children.  He holds an MA Degree in Media and
Communications and a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the University of Leicester, in the UK.
