Patel Barwabatsile, ICT Manager, Botswana Innovation Hub

Patel Mmusi Barwabatsile worked as an Applications and Software developer in the telecom, insurance, business process reengineering industry. Have extensive experience delivering technical projects in the telecom industry, as an Applications and Software Engineer and a Product Development Manager. Patel is currently an Innovative products and services developer, assisting companies and new ventures to deliver innovative products for Business and individual customers in the ICT and tech industry. He develops commercial processes and corporate strategies for generating new revenue streams through disruptive new products and services in telecom and new media industry. Have great interests in digital economy, such as social media, e-commerce, new media content based ecosystem and developing of its business models. Patel hold an Engineering degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Carleton University (BEng), and two executive/professional development certificates in Innovative Futures and Project Management from Stanford University and Stellenbosch University respectively. Currently Patel is head of the ICT Cluster at Botswana Innovation Hub were he oversee the Microsoft Innovation Center and Developer Community programmes. Before joining BIH Patel worked for ERP software development start-up call Software, Applications and Information Solution, Huawei and Orange Botswana (Subsidiary of French Telecom).
