Wan Ezrin Sazli Wan Zahari, Head of People, AirAsia & AirAsia X

Ezrin is the Head of People for AirAsia Berhad & AirAsia X Berhad.

This dual role is accountable & responsible for various people functions e.g. Business Partnering, People Analytics, People Operations, People Development, Resourcing, Performance Management, Talent Management, Employee Relations & Compliance, Rewards / Compensation & Benefits, Facilities Management & General Services and Culture / Employee Engagement.

Ezrin's current focus is to work closely with the CEOs of AirAsia and AirAsia X to implement programmes & initiatives that will attract, retain and motivate top talent and top performance. 

Previously, Ezrin held several roles in AirAsia Group, including: Group Head of Leadership & Talent Development, Group Head of People Strategy, Performance Management & Talent Management. Ezrin was involved in institutionalising powerful, “zero cost” and best-value solutions for learning & development, acquiring top talent, establishing standard principles & policies, and developing simple, efficient-yet-effective processes for AirAsia Group.
 
Ezrin graduated in civil engineering and this also became part of his early career. In Malaysia, Ezrin previously worked with DiGi Telecommunications, Petronas and Weatherford; and in the United Kingdom - he worked with Mouchel and the London Borough of Barnet. 

Ezrin graduated from UCL, University of London. Outside work he enjoy spirituality, travelling, the arts and writing books. Occasionally, he visits rural school children to motivate them in their pursuit of success.

Ezrin is keen to understand how things work - especially the minds of people, and arranging what seems to be a buffet of confusing elements, into a rationale array of thought. He'd like to think that I'm an ardent pragmatist, who loves combining great ideas with aggressive delivery - focusing on value add, growth, simplicity & fun.

Ezrin is a certified professional practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) psychometric instrument.
