“Flightweight’s o SmartCart is bringing visionary high-tech engineering to aviation galley trolleys. Using composite materials that reduce weight by a third alongside patented technology, the carts deliver improved security and automated auditing.
Built in modular form using FibriRock, Flightweight’s SmartCart is 98% recyclable, 5kg (or 33%) lighter than traditional trolleys and features a true multi-point locking system which bolts the door at 13 positions. SmartCart can also record all activity involving the seal via a personalised high security Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) card key including the identification of the user, the time of use and date.
Because it reduces weight and the intelligent software provides a full audit trail based on usage data from the galley trolleys – SmartCart saves airlines money and improves security and auditing accuracy.
