Vinay Dube, Senior Vice President - Asia Pacific, Delta Air Lines

Vinay Dube is senior vice president – Asia Pacific for Delta Air Lines. Vinay has overall responsibility for Delta within the Asia-Pacific region.

Since 2010 Delta has profitably expanded its Asia-Pacific business by more than 60 percent, entering new markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong and Korea. Under Vinay’s leadership Delta has diversified its network and customer base and has grown into one of the largest premium airlines across the Pacific.

Most recently Vinay served as vice president – Alliances and Industry Affairs with overall responsibility for Delta’s participation in SkyTeam and Delta’s partner and industry relationships. In 2009 Vinay played a pivotal role in establishing Delta’s industry leading joint venture with Air France, KLM and Alitalia, a $10 billion enterprise and the first of its kind across the Atlantic.

Prior to that, Vinay served as vice president and chief information officer – Delta and CEO – Delta Technology. In this role, Vinay and his team helped architect the technology footprint for Delta’s acquisition of Northwest Airlines, leading to one of the most successful mergers in aviation history.

Vinay began his career with American Airlines as an Operations Research analyst and soon progressed to manager of Network Forecasting Systems. He then moved to Sabre Inc., a global leader in technology solutions and marketing services for the travel industry. At Sabre, Vinay held various leadership positions including vice president of Product Management, vice president of Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa, vice president of Marketing and Strategy and vice president of Consulting and Marketing Solutions.

Vinay has a bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics from Knox College (USA) and an M.S. in operations research from the University of North Carolina (USA).

Originally from Mumbai, India, since 2010 Dube has resided in Hong Kong with his wife and three children.
