Born in Iceland 1960 and raised in Iceland. Matriculation (High School) from Hamrahlíð College focusing on mathematics and physics.
Moved to Miami in August 1984 and completed a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and BS degree in Computer Science from Florida International University in the spring of 1988. Completed a MS degree at the University of Miami in Mechanical Engineering focusing on biomechanical Engineering.
Moved to Los Angeles in January 1991 and worked as a Software and Systems Engineer at Kögun in Iceland 1990 – 1996 subcontracting at Hughes Aircraft Company. Late 1996 took a job at Iceland Insurance Company as Managing Director and was there from 1996 to 2002.
Mid-year 2002 I started working for Landma Inc, as Director of Marketing and Operations. Landmat Inc. was an early adopter of mobile phone technologies offering content and services and joined forces with Enpocket late 2004. Moved to Boston late 2004 and worked for Enpocket as VP of Operations from 2004 to mid 2006 focusing on growing the company in the USA and expanding its service offerings to the big mobile carriers in the USA. In spring of 2006 moved back to Iceland and worked at Director of Solutions & Services, Director Operations ad Calidris from 2006 to 2010 when the company was sold to Sabre Airlines Solutions. Calidris specialised in software for airlines. Worked for Sabre Airlines Solutions as Site Manager at Sabre Iceland 2010 – 2012.
In September I started as CIO at WOW Air and worked there into 2016, building up the IT infrastructure and technical foundations for the fastest growing airline in the world.
Mid 2016 I started as COO at TripCreator 2016 and we are currently in a go-to-market stage offering our services to airlines and travel agencies.
