Jiří Marek, Vice President Alliances & Ancillary Revenue, Alitalia

Jiri’s personal goal and motto is “Value evolution”, as he believes that set up of an airline product distribution is from the “stone age”. In aviation and tourism business since more than 18 years, he gained rich experience in sales, marketing, distribution, strategy, revenue management, alliances and change management. He played various senior executive roles: CCO and Board Member of Czech Airlines, CCO of Malev or Executive Director Sales and Distribution of LOT Polish Airlines. He had been running projects of Asia expansion and privatization towards Korean Air of Czech Airlines and also Asia expansion of LOT Polish Airlines starting with opening of Japan and Korea market. He had an active roles in each of the three major alliances – Oneworld, SkyTeam and Star Alliance, giving him a broad look at the global challenges, that are just right ahead of us. People describe him as a “guy who does not get the cold feet when it comes to innovative and creative approach.”
