Dieter Vranckx, Vice President, Sales Asia Pacific, Lufthansa Group Airlines

Mr. Dieter Vranckx was appointed Vice President Asia-Pacific on March 2016 for the Lufthansa Group Airlines. He directs the airline’s regional headquarter based in Singapore. In this role, Mr. Vranckx manages and directs the sales activities for Lufthansa Group Airlines in Asia-Pacific.

Prior to this position Dieter Vranckx held a variety of positions in Passenger Sales and Cargo in the Lufthansa Group, including Vice President, Head of Sales & Marketing Switzerland, Germany and Austria for Swiss International Air Lines in Zurich. He was responsible for the area revenue results and the sales and marketing activities in the home markets of SWISS (Switzerland, Germany and Austria) and the Lufthansa Group (Switzerland).

From 2010 until 2013 he was based in Chicago as Regional Director USA Midwest and Canada for Lufthansa Cargo after holding the position as Area Managing Director of Asia, Middle East and Africa for SWISS World Cargo in Zurich from 2006 until 2010.

Mr. Vranckx began his career in the aviation industry in 1998, working within the Airline Management Partnership Swissair/Sabena in Brussels and Zurich. In 2004, he moved to Hong Kong as Regional Director Asia-Pacific for Swiss International Air Lines, where he also was a board member of the Swiss Business Council Committee.

Mr. Vranckx graduated from the Management School Solvay with a Diploma in Commercial Engineering. He also earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Apart from speaking Dutch as a native language, Dieter Vranckx is fluent in English, French and German. He is married, and has one son and one daughter.
