Tino Motloung, Ancillary Revenue Specialist, South African Airways

Ms Motloung’s aviation career started at South African Airways in 2010 within Revenue Optimisation for Special projects.  She lead the project to change SAA’s global baggage policy from weight concept to piece concept.  In 2012 Ms Motloung was seconded to SAA’s Fort Lauderdale office in the USA in the capacity as a commercial trainee manager focusing on sales, marketing and alliances.  After her return to South Africa in 2014, Ms Motloung started SAA’s ancillary revenue office, where she oversees the strategy, new product implementation, and ancillary revenue growth for SAA globally.
Within the first year of opening the ancillary revenue office, SAA won an award of achievement for highest growth in ancillary revenue growth (Q1 2015 – Q1 2016) at the Amadeus Merchandising, Digital & Travel Intelligence Conference 2016.
Ms Motloung holds a BSc degree in molecular biology (Wits), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management (WBS).
