Wei Li Chung, Chief Engineer, Bureau Of High Speed Rail M.O.T.C.

Wei Li attained a master’s degree in Enterprise Project Engineering from Chinese Culture University in 1970 and he also obtained an EMBA in Public Management from Taiwan University in 2004.

His professional experience includes 5 years in Transportation Research & Institute, MOTC where he was a senior planning and 11 years in Taipei Metro Construction Bureau which is associated with many major metro station design planning and underground shopping district design. Wei Li is responsible for the supervision of Taiwan High Speed Rail cooperation and providing assistance to the Director General of The Bureau. He spent almost two years in the supervision of high speed rail operations. Besides that, he is also involved in the Taoyuan Airport MRT construction project. The line offers both Commuter & Express train services, as well as in-town check-in and baggage check at Taipei Main Station. The line began commercial service on March 2, 2017.
