Somprasong Suttayamully, Director, Fare Media Office, Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand

Dr Somprasong is the Director, Business Development Department at Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA).  Dr. Somprasong is a transportation planner of 17 years’ experience.  He specialises in strategic transport planning, model, safety, GIS systems and state-of-the-art traffic technologies.
He is currently Director of Fare Media Office and was previously a Lecturer Suranaree University of Technology (2009-1995). From 1999 – 2001, he provided Training Services to OCMLT, Asian Development Bank Loan 1195-THA Training coordinator on providing training services to OCMLT and was responsible for arrangement, evaluation and carry out all courses and seminars by foreign experts from North America and European countries. He was also previousely a Researcher at Construction Laboratories for Automation and System Simulation, Traffic Engineer at Sindhu Pike Bodell Ltd. and Civil Engineer of the Department of Highway,
Dr Somprasong has a Bachelors of Engineering Civil Engineering, Khon Kaen University, Khon Kaen Thailand (1986), Masters of Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand (1990) and Ph.D., Transportation Engineering, the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA (1995)
His key research field lies in Traffic Simulation, Transport Model, Expert System, GIS in Transportation and Road Safety.
