Richard has spent over 35 years as an engineer working for British Rail and London Underground in the UK, and for MTR Corporation in Hong Kong which he joined in 1992.
Having spent much of his career in infrastructure maintenance, Richard is now responsible for the asset management of MTR Corporation’s fleet of over 2200 passenger train cars, light rail vehicles and buses. His key roles are to ensure delivery of a safe and reliable service to the passengers, to maintain the trains and continually upgrade their capability to meet business needs. He is also responsible for rolling stock advisory support to MTR’s international businesses and pre-Operations support to rolling stock procurement for Hong Kong.
Richard is a Register Professional Engineer, Vice Chairman of the China Hong Kong Railway Institution and a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Engineering Business Management from Warwick University, UK.
