Rahul Goswami is an Urban Planner and an Architect by profession with diverse experience in the field of Urban Planning, urban design, public policy, sustainable architecture design and real estate development. He is a graduate from prestigious National Institute of Technology Trichy, and Post-Graduate from School of Planning and Architecture New Delhi.
He has been associated with Jaipur Metro project since year 2013 as Deputy General Manager (Town Planning) and one of his key responsibility is to ensure that the metro construction is aligned in such a manner that the heritage value of the historic walled city of Jaipur is retained and further revitalized.
In addition he also looks after strategic planning for future expansions of metro in Jaipur, property development at metro stations, coordinating stakeholder participation and corporate communications.
As an urban planner, he is very keen towards exploring possibilities of Transit oriented development and ways of branding the city by means of integrated public transportation system. He strongly believes that ‘Cities are enlivened by people, and people enable change’. His goal is to translate the theories and understanding of urbanism into approaches and methods which can lead to concrete decision making while making planning people centric. He plans to make his future in research and writing.
An avid reader, a photographer, graphic designer and loves to travel. He wishes to do an all-India tour some day on his bike (bicycle).
