KF Fung, Chief Engineer / Railways, EMSD, Government of the HKSAR

Mr. K F Fung graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1984 with a BSc(Eng) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.  He was also conferred a MBA degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1991.  

After graduation from the University of Hong Kong, he has been working in telecommunication operating company and the Civil Aviation Department of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).  Since joining EMSD in 1996, Mr FUNG had served in various posts with wide range of engineering works including development of ICT systems, maintenance of E&M systems, implementation of data centre, deployment of corporate enterprise application system.

He is now currently the Chief Engineer in Railways Branch of the Electrical & Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) of the Government of HKSAR.  He is responsible for regulating railway safety of the operating lines in Hong Kong including West Island Line, Kwun Tong Line Extension, South Island Line (East), Ma On Shan Line and also two major railway infrastructure projects namely Shatin-to-Central Link and the Hong Kong Section of Guangzhou- Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link.
