Chin Hock Quek, Assistant Vice-President (Rail Engineering) & Head of Permanent Way & CS Department, SBS Transit Ltd

Mr Quek first joined SBSTransit Ltd as an Engineer in 2001 after graduating from Nanyang Technological University with a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering. Mr Quek was a pioneer involved in the setting up of Permanent Way Team (Pway) to maintain the North East Line (NEL) MRT and the Sengkang- Punggol Light Rail Transit (LRT) System. His responsibilities include maintaining the Track, Tunnel, Viaduct and Power rail systems. Subsequently, Mr Quek was appointed the Head of Permanent Way & Civil Structure in 2008.   In 2012, Mr Quek was appointed the Head of Downtown (DTL) Line Infrastructure Department, which he spearheaded the taking over of the DTL MRT Civil and Mechanical services from the Singapore Land Transport Authority. He successfully set up a maintenance team to operate and maintain the DTL Infrastructure systems that include Pway, Civil Structure and Building Mechanical services.   Prior to his 17 years of railway career in SBSTransit, he had also worked in civil engineering construction projects involving MRT and residential building.   Mr Quek is currently holding the DTL Pway Technical Head position and in-charge of the Permanent Way & Civil Structure maintenance department.
