Brendan is an Associate Director of Atkins, with responsibility for Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Digital Engineering in the Asia Pacific region. Over the last 39 years he has gained experience in delivering public, commercial, offshore, petro-chemical and large scale infrastructure projects in different parts of the world, and used this experience to help develop software solutions in the field of engineering analysis and BIM.
Brendan has been involved in BIM in many capacities since 1995, and participated in software design and development, research projects and the setting of international standards. Since 2010 he has worked in BIM project management and strategic implementation in Europe, Middle East and Asia. Recent major projects include the Doha Metro in Qatar, and the Jurong Region Line in Singapore. Brendan is a member of Atkins Global Strategy Group, and is helping shape their future vision for BIM and Digital Engineering.
Brendan is open minded about any technology that makes the lives of engineers and architects easier and liberates them to do what they do best, and is a passionate believer in promoting technologies which improve project quality and help deliver better outcomes for clients.
