Nkululeko Gobhozi, Chief Engineer, Transnet Freight Rail

Mr. Nkululeko Gobhozi Pr. Eng. is a distinguished Railway Engineer with over two decades of expertise in the advancement and implementation of cutting-edge technologies within the rail sector. Currently, he holds the esteemed position of Chief Engineer at Transnet Freight Rail, where he leads a dynamic team within the Technology Management division. With a solid educational background, Mr. Gobhozi earned his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and an M.Eng. Degree specializing in Systems Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand. His contributions to the field are widely recognized, as evidenced by his authorship of numerous papers presented at prestigious platforms such as the International Heavy Haul Association (IHHA), the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE), and the Institute for Railway and Signal Engineers (IRSE).  Furthermore, his expertise has been sought by institutions beyond Transnet, as he serves on the IHHA and SAHHA Boards.
