Dr Sergei Gleyzer, Research Associate, Department of Physics, University of Florida; Coordinator of the LHC Machine-Learning Working Group, Cern

Sergei Gleyzer is a data scientist and particle physicist, a co-discover of the Higgs Boson, and currently a Fermilab LHC Physics Center Distinguished Fellow. He is the founder of several major initiatives such as the Inter-experimental Machine Learning Working Group at CERN and the Machine Learning Forum. He works at the interface of machine learning and science and is a recipient of several awards. While passionate about teaching, scientific communication and public outreach, Dr. Gleyzer also consults international organizations on behalf of CERN in the area of machine learning.
