Jason E Comer, Assistant Professor, Department Microbiology And Immunology, University of Texas Medical Branch

Dr. Comer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology and a Study Director in the Institutional Office of Regulated Nonclinical Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.  Dr. Comer is interested in the development of infectious disease models that can be used to evaluate the vaccines and therapeutics under the standards set by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA).  Dr. Comer’s research currently focuses on developing/testing countermeasures to Biological Safety Level-4 pathogens in well characterized model systems.
