Mr. John Wilbanks | Senior Fellow Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation
John Wilbanks works on open content, open data, and open innovation systems in the life sciences and sustainability. He has worked at Creative Commons, the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University, MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, the World Wide Web Consortium, and the US House of Representatives. He started a bioinformatics company called Incellico, which is now part of Selventa. John sits on the Board of Directors for Sage Bionetworks, AcaWiki, and 1DegreeBio, as well as the Advisory Board for Boundless Learning, and serves as a mentor at RockHealth. He is a member of the Global Agenda Council on sustainable consumption for the World Economic Forum among other industry and national research boards.
He studied Philosophy and French at Tulane University and modern letters at the Sorbonne.
