Diana Ribeiro, Director of Research, Action Duchenne

Diana has played a leading role at Action Duchenne for the past six years and was appointed as CEO last year, based on her knowledge and invaluable contribution to the Duchenne community. She has worked closely with hundreds of international families and young people living with Duchenne and other rare diseases. She feels extraordinarily privileged to be the primary liaison between the scientists, young people and family members, but also to inform and inspire the healthcare and wider community.

Diana Ribeiro has a background in scientific research and many other therapeutic areas including oncology and infectious diseases. As well as her significant knowledge base, she also has specialist medical education and complex project management skills. She strives to be at the forefront of cutting edge advances in Duchenne, on behalf of the expert community and actively collaborates with other key stakeholders in achieving this aim.
