Jennifer Kwon, Associate Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics, University of Rochester

Dr. Kwon is an academic child neurologist with a strong interest in improving clinical outcomes in children diagnosed with rare disorders by newborn screening.  She is a member of the Evidence Review Committee for the Secretary of Health and Human Services’s Advisory Committee for Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children, a member of the American Academy of Neurology’s Registry Committee overseeing the Axon Registry (a clinic performance and outcome improvement registry for neurologists) and has been working to develop and improve long-term follow-up registries for patients diagnosed with X-adrenoleukodystrophy, Krabbe disease, Pompe disease, spinal muscular atrophy, and Duchenne muscular dystrophy by newborn screening.
