  • Terry Lai, age 27. 
  • Vice chairman of Hong Kong Mucuopolysaccharidoses & Rare Genetic Diseases Mutual aid group
  • A rare disease patient with Pompe Disease
  • Diagnosed Pompe since age 14 with no medication until the Enzyme Replacement Therapy (i.e. ERT) starts on 2011.
  • He graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Policy and Administration in May 2014.
  • Currently working in Hong Kong Alliance for Rare Diseases as business development officer.
  • He will be able to share the personal experience in his patient journey and describe the current work in advocating for rare diseases policy in Hong Kong.
