Hernando Zerda-Noriega is the Head of Corporate Strategy & Business Performance for Ecopetrol SA. He is a Chemical Engineer from Universidad de América, with a specialization in International Economics from Universidad Externado and a Masters in Business Administration from Universidad de los Andes. He has worked in the oil industry for 16 years, holding positions in commercial areas within Ecopetrol. He has been working in Ecopetrol for the past 9 years, in the Strategy and Growth Corporate Vice Presidency, currently serving as the Head of Corporate Strategy & Business Performance División, responsible for the processes of formulating and implementing strategy and monitoring business performance. Has been part of teams that have made major changes, such as reforming the Colombian hydrocarbon sector in 2003 and the Ecopetrol IPO process in 2007. Also, he has contributed to strengthen the strategy management process, which has acquired great significance in Ecopetrol with said changes.
