Mr. Alexander Kofi Mensah Mould has over 20years of Managerial Leadership experience of which ten (10) years has been spent in the downstream Oil Business focusing on Refining, Crude and Petroleum Products Supply and Risk Management. He completed an MBA (Finance, Economics and Decision Science) at J.L Kellogg Graduate School, Northwestern University Illinois, USA in 1994. He also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma (Oil Marketing and Economics) from Oxford University College of Petroleum Studies in 1989. In 1985, Mr. Alex Mould began his career at Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), the last position held by him was the Special Assistant to the Executive Director Marketing and Operations.
On completion of his MBA in 1994, he joined Bankers Trust Company New York and worked with Structured Trade Finance, as a Relationship Manager and held various positions in the Structured Trade Finance and Energy Merchant Bank Division. In 1995 he joined Union Bank of Standard Chartered bank, New York and in the year 1997, he rose to be a Vice president and Relationship Manager. In 2001, he relocated to Ghana and was appointed Head of Structured Finance West Africa. He was responsible for developing Structured Trade/Export Finance business in West Africa focusing on medium to large size Traditional and Non – Traditional Exporters. In 2002, Standard Chartered Bank appointed Mr. Alexander Kofi Mensah Mould as an Executive Director and Co – Head wholesale Bank, Origination and Client Coverage – Ghana. He was responsible for the Client Origination business.
Mr. Alexander Kofi Mensah Mould was appointed as Acting Chief Executive of National Petroleum Authority in April 2009 to regulate the Petroleum Downstream Sector.
