Ben Griffin joined Inmarsat in 2011 and as Regional Director is responsible for the Aviation business in the MEA region. Based in Dubai, he ensures all of Inmarsat’s services are adequately represented to the aviation community – classic services, SwiftBroadband and GX Aviation.
Prior to joining Inmarsat, Ben worked with AeroMobile, the world’s first GSM system operating on a commercial airline. He had broad responsibility from successful programme management of the AeroMobile implementation to commercial responsibility for the MEA region.
Previously, he trained and worked in Air Traffic Control in the UK as an aerodrome controller and then took a more commercial role with ARINC, helping to establish the European operation for datalink communications and related ATC services.
Ben is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
