Alain Fanaie has more than 23 years of International wholesale banking experience and multi-cultural management skills. He joined the Crédit Agricole Group early 1988 to take over the International Guarantees Department and later transferred to Commodities, notably Structured Commodity Finance, a new department that he set up in London where he developed this global activity for 10 years. In 2008, he was promoted to be in charge of Global Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Power as well as the global Financial Advisory Department and joined the Management Committee of the Bank. He then joined CHINA SONANGOL Group in August 2011 and was appointed Group CEO from 1st of September 2011. Alain holds a Masters degree in International Trade from Ecole Supérieure de Commerce International and a Masters Degree in Banking from Centre d’Etudes Supérieures de Banque in France.
