Dennis Aust, CTO, Ativo Capital Management LLC

Dennis has had a deep association with the Ativo valuation framework for over thirty years, first using the approach for corporate development at FMC Corporation in the early 1980’s. After joining Ativo’s predecessor firm (Callard, Madden & Associates, Inc.) in 1985, Dennis specialized in extending and implementing our approach with both investment research and corporate operating clients. Dennis has written and spoken extensively on valuation, strategic analysis, financial management, and executive compensation. His articles have appeared in several publications, including Corporate Finance Review, Journal of Private Equity, and Directors Monthly (National Association of Corporate Directors), and he has contributed chapters to three books, most recently “The Valuation Handbook: Valuation Techniques From Today’s Top Practitioners” (Wiley, 2009).
