Anil Tandan is the Group Chief Technology Officer for Idea Cellular Limited. He has been associated with the GSM industry for the last 13 years starting with Fascel Gujarat (now Vodafone Gujarat) as Sr. Vice President Operations. He has been CTO, Tata Cellular, AP and then was responsible for rolling out a green field 1800 MHz GSM network for Idea in Delhi in 2002 as the Head of Networks, before he took over as CTO. During his tenure as the CTO, Idea has moved from an eight Service Area Operation to a Pan India 2G Operation covering all 22 Service Areas and also launched 3G Services in 11 Service Areas.
