Perry Romano has been involved with Telecommunications Network Management for the past 20 years. He received an MBA from University of New Haven and also holds a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Manhattan College.
He started his career journey in engineering, designing radar systems for military applications. After 4 years of design work, he went on to high-technology Sales and Business Development. Over the years, he has worked and progressed at such companies as Hewlett-Packard, JDSU (formerly Acterna), Fluke Networks, a division of Danaher Corporation and Sunrise Telecom, where he held the VP of Sales/Business Development position. In August of 2009, the entrepreneurial gene kicked in and he left this position to start his own sales and consulting business focused at developing best of breed solutions for network monitoring and service assurance management. After a successful 3 year run he then joined Gigamon where he currently holds the title of Director, Business Development for Communications Service Providers.
Accomplishments include the development and deployment of:
• Traffic Visibility infrastructure systems for Security, Network, Application Performance and Customer Experience Management applications.
• Network Capacity Planning and Customer Service Management solutions.
• Automated installation and ongoing monitoring systems for Video services.
