Mike Conradi is a specialist communications and technology lawyer. He is rated as one of the world’s leading telecoms lawyers (at www.expertguides.com) and is the editor of the Communications Law Handbook by Bloomsbury Professional (http://tinyurl.com/commslawhandbook) ("a book which no serious practitioner of communications law can afford to ignore" The Commonwealth Lawyer).   On the transactional side my experience includes large telecoms managed service deals, network management outsourcings, telecoms infrastructure sharing, wholesale services (especially MVNO deals) and software procurement (with a focus on telecoms OSS and billing software).   On the regulatory side, he has an extensive understanding of the various IT, telecoms and broadcasting.  For example, he advised the government of Croatia on the drafting of their telecoms legislation immediately prior to liberalisation of the market.   He has a particular interest in the legal issues surrounding fibreoptic submarine cable systems. He has worked extensively on more than 20 of these projects in Europe, Africa and in Asia- Pacific. He has delivered a legal “masterclass” to every SubOptic conference since 2004 0 most recently in Paris in April 2013 where he spoke on “due diligence in submarine cable systems”.
