Andrew Johnson
Andrew Johnson is a Telecomms Technology Consultant with Tubitayeho Telecomms Consulting with specific interest in the Mobile Telecommunications Field. He has worked as a Consultant in the Telecomms area for 6 years, focussing on a variety of projects and assignments in Africa and South Africa. He has specific interest in the development of Mobile Broadband and Fibre networks across Africa and other emerging markets.
Bradley Shaw
Bradley Shaw is currently the Founder of Continuum Consulting he has worked on a number of projects focusing on business development and management consulting in the Telecoms and ICT sector in Africa. Shaw has a broad range of experience covering a number of fields. Shaw is a thought leader in the telecoms sector in Africa, judges a number of awards programs and speaks at many industry related conferences. Shaw’s speciality though is expanding new businesses across the African continent. An entrepreneur at heart building new business is a passion rather than a career. He resides in the Creative Capital of South Africa, Cape Town and is married and the father of two.
Frans Joubert
Having spent more than 17 years in the Mobile Industry, and now involved in the M2M and IoT space Frans has extensive executive experience across more than 40 countries in Africa, its people and its business environment. Known to have an immense passion for innovation and technology as well as a love for the African Continent, its people and its opportunities.
Julian Rawle
Julian has been involved in the submarine fiber optic market for over fifteen years and has considerable first-hand experience in every aspect of the industry. Julian was previously International Marketing Director at NTT World Engineering Marine and then Managing Partner at Pioneer Consulting. He now offers his expertise as an independent consultant to prospective cable operators, equipment suppliers, and financial institutions. He has worked on cable development projects on all six inhabited continents, provided accurate forecasts for all major markets, and carried out countless due diligence exercises. He is a frequent contributor to industry and mainstream Press and is regularly invited to speak at conferences.
Robert Schumann
Robert Schumann led the establishment of Analysys Mason’s presence in Africa, including launching the Johannesburg office where he is now based after five years in Cambridge, UK and six months in New Delhi. He has worked on regulatory engagements in Botswana, Ghana, Mozambique and Tanzania, supported operators with strategy and planning for fibre networks – both backhaul and access – in several countries, and authored several public reports on broadband in Africa. He led the Analysys Mason team advising the Botswana government on structural separation of BTC in 2012-2013, and also works regularly on spectrum, business planning, and media issues. He recently completed a study for the South African Department of Telecommunications on market structure considerations for the national broadband policy, and over the last two years has supported transactions related to FTTH and LTE networks in various African countries. Robert holds a doctorate in physics from the University of Oxford.
