Schwark Satyavolu is global head, Rewards and Offers. In this role, he is responsible for all MasterCard rewards and offers efforts around the globe, including our issuer rewards programs, card linked offer initiatives, enterprise offer platforms, cross-border programs, merchant-funded initiatives, and offer redemption services, point and other rewards-based loyalty initiatives.
Prior to this role, Mr. Satyavolu was a co-founder and one of the original visionaries behind Truaxis, a card-linked loyalty platform that delivers targeted offers driven by consumer transaction behaviors. He served as the CEO of the company until its acquisition by MasterCard.
Mr. Satyavolu also spent some time as an entrepreneur-in-residence with Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP), in the big data space. Prior to that, he was with Yodlee, a company he had co-founded, for eight years. While there, he served in a variety of functions including, chief technology officer. Early on, Schwark was at Microsoft in the Microsoft Project group on the software engineering team.
Mr. Satyavolu is a board member of the Cardlinx Association and of WhiteSky, a private company in the ISP services space, as well on the advisory boards of a number of startups. He is also passionate about encouraging entrepreneurship and invests in early stage startups.
Mr. Satyavolu is a graduate of, The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras where he holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and, The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he earned his master’s degree. He is also an inventor on 15 US patents.
