Submarine Networks World 2017 Post-Event Report


The 20th annual Submarine Networks World was successfully staged at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, Singapore, from 25 - 27 September 2017. Now seen as the unofficial AGM for the global submarine telecommunications community, the 2017 event welcomed over 564 senior representatives from 227 organisations convening from 64 countries – the highest attendance in 20 years , achieving 22% year-on-year growth in attendance.
In 2017, we saw:
  • 564 registered attendees representing 227 organisations from 64 countries 
  • 70% of the attendees were Chairman, CxOs, Presidents, MDs, SVPs, VPs, Partners, GMs, Heads and Directors
  • 46% of the companies were carriers and network operators
  • 19% were turnkey suppliers, cable suppliers, subsea optical equipment and marine services providers
  • 15% were regulators, investors, legal and consulting firms
  • 96 expert speakers 
  • 46 sponsors and exhibitors (up from 33 sponsors & exhibitors in 2016; full list here:
