Advent’s assets have had an estimated AUD126m invested historically on exploration, and include EP386 and RL1 (100%) in the onshore Bonaparte Basin, PEP11 (85%) in the offshore Sydney Basin and EP325 (8.3%) in the Carnarvon Basin.
A mean Contingent Resource of 18.4 Bcf for the Weaber Gas Field (RL1) has recently been achieved as a component of Advent’s drive to commercialise its onshore Bonaparte Basin assets in this rapidly developing region and captive market.
The Sydney Basin is a proven petroleum basin with an active hydrocarbon system with excellent potential for the discovery of gas and oil. Undiscovered prospective recoverable gas resources for PEP11 have been estimated at the multi-Tcf level. PEP11 lies adjacent to the Sydney-Newcastle region and the major industrial hub of Newcastle where LNG production facilities are planned.
