Paul Booth, Principal Engineer, Network Rail

Paul Booth is a Principal Engineer with Network Rail in the UK and a recognised expert in railway control systems and ERTMS/ETCS in particular.  He led the system development and detailed design phases of the Thameslink ATO/ETCS solution now being brought into service in London and currently leads the engineering team responsible for implementation of ETCS on the Great Western Main Line, including its interfaces with Crossrail project.  Paul has represented Network Rail on various UK and European technical committees responsible for ETCS specifications and standards.
