Anne Lee | Chief Pharmaceutical Advisor Scottish Medicines Consortium
Anne Lee is a pharmacist and spent her early career in hospital pharmacy, specialising in Medicines Information, working in Edinburgh, Newcastle, and Glasgow. In Newcastle Anne developed a keen interest in the safety of medicines and has edited textbooks on adverse drug reactions and safe prescribing in pregnancy. In 1996 she moved to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where she was involved in Formulary development and the Greater Glasgow Area Drug and Therapeutics Committee. In 2005 Anne took up a post at the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC), to set up its Horizon Scanning programme for new medicines, which adopts an innovative approach to supporting financial planning in Health Boards through the provision of early intelligence on new medicines in development. In 2010 Anne moved into the role of Chief Pharmaceutical Adviser at SMC.
