Mr Rainer Bomba has been State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development since 2009. He holds a degree in Engineering and a degree in Economics. He is responsible inter alia for Infrastructure and Departmental Policy Issues, Spatial Planning and Urban Development. Before joining the Ministry, Mr. Bomba successfully reorganized the German Federal Employment Agencies. His political objecitve is to facilitate transport rather than to hamper it. He wants to organize the transport of the future in a way that it is economical, innovative and affordable. He regards Germany as the world's logistics champion. Hence, German expertise and experience can surely be valuable to other countries aiming at improving the infrastructure."
